In 2022 I received Developing Your Creative Practice funding from Arts Council.

 

The aim of my DYCP was to explore expanding my work and beginning to work at scale. This was split into three strands: shadowing a director at a large scale house during a rehearsal process, mentoring with producers and a period of R and D within a large to midscale theatre exploring the architecture of that space with a particular focus on using technology to aid the storytelling; a short trailer of which you can see below.​ The shadowing time was spent at Schaubühne Berlin observing Alexander Zeldin as they rehearsed 'Beyond Caring'.

 

Our R&D time was hosted and mentored by Northern Stage. I worked with a new team of collaborators: Dramaturg Nazli Tabatabai-Khatambakhsh, Writer Olly Gully, Sound Designer Kieran Lucas and Videographer Adam Goodwin.
